Wax prints from approved jewellery CAD files, in the wax that suits your next step. Send us your own file, or let ZCAD design the model first.
Wax printing from your CAD file or ours
If you already have an approved CAD file, we can print it for you. If you need the design as well, we prepare the CAD, you approve it, and then we print it in wax.
We check every file before printing and ask what the print is for, so it is produced in the right wax for the job.
Choose the right wax
- Casting wax. Printed for investment casting of the piece.
- Hard wax. A model for checking proportions before production.
- High Temp Wax. Printed as a master model for making a rubber mould.
Not sure which you need? Tell us what happens after the print and what your workshop or casting supplier expects, and we will advise before the print is agreed.
What to include in a print enquiry
Tell us what the print is for, the size or key dimensions, and any requirements from your caster or workshop. When we reply, we will confirm the best way to send your CAD file.

A photo can show what you have in mind, but printing needs a CAD file. If you do not have one yet, start with jewellery CAD design or, for changes to an existing model, CAD amendments.
How much does wax printing cost?
Our pricing page shows the current starting prices for wax prints, and for CAD design with a wax print. We confirm the price before printing starts.
Timing is agreed for each job. Tell us your deadline when you enquire and we will let you know what is realistic.
